Neil Adams - Paintings in Line & WashStudio locationShowing with Liz Stockley at Contact detailsTel:01485 540857 Artist's StatementBoth my Mother and Grandfather were very competent amateur artists, working mostly in watercolours, so their influence, help and encouragement from an early age was very welcome. I have made pictures throughout my life, but there have been many very long periods where little has been produced, largely because of work and family commitments. Pen and Ink had been a favoured medium during those busy years, and I had the opportunity to supply drawings for some of our village publications. Circumstances in the last few years have spurred me on to rediscover the joy of painting afresh. I have settled very much into the 'line and wash' process, creating most of the form, structure, detail, and shading with the pen, and finishing with colour. I think you will see my love of gardens and the countryside reflected in my work. |
